Rules and Regulations


CONDUCT: The main objective is to inculcate the habit of scholarly reasoning, promote ethical standards, moral values and excellence in educational standards besides maintaining social harmony in the campus. All students are expected to follow and strive to achieve these objectives and behave in a manner befitting a professional course student. Any student found to be acting directly or indirectly for the breach of the above said objectives would be punished accordingly.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS:

  • All candidates who secure admission in the college are deemed to have agreed to all the rules and regulations, given hereunder and such other rules and regulations as to be added, or amended from time to time.
  • Students, admitted in this college, will have to give an undertaking that he/she will not involve in any sort of ragging or any other indisciplinary act; if involved, he/she is liable to be punished accordingly.
  • College working hours are: 9.15 am to 12.45 pm, 1.15 pm to 3.45 pm.
  • All the students must wear their ID cards on campus and may be asked to produce them upon request. 
  • Students should be punctual to the classes. They will not be permitted into the class 5 minutes after the commencement of the class.
  • The gates of the college will be closed except during break time.
  • No student should be present in the canteen during the class work. Students are expected to spend their free time in the Library/Reading Room.
  • No student is permitted to roam in the campus during class/Lab work.
  • No student shall leave the classroom without the permission of the teacher or until the class is over. A student who disturbs a lesson or makes mischief in a class should be expelled from the class.
  • Students are expected to behave with decorum, use courteous language, and avoid any behaviour that could bring disrepute to the institution. Criticizing or abusing the girl students in foul language is strictly prohibited in the campus.
  • Students are expected to behave well with the, staff, other students and general public. Any misbehaviour coming to the notice of the college authorities will be severely dealt with.
  • The conduct of the students should be exemplary not only within the premises of the college but also outside. This will help in maintaining the image and status of the college.
  • Students are expected to use campus facilities responsibly and avoid damaging or defacing them. They should keep the class rooms/college campus neat and tidy.
  • Any student involved in breaking or damaging any college property shall be punished severely.
  • Smoking, Consumption or possession of toxic drinks or drugs within the campus is strictly prohibited. Entering the campus after consumption of toxic drinks or drugs is also prohibited.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited as per Government Orders.
  • Students should not bring any unauthorized persons into the campus.
  • Students should put up a minimum attendance of 75% in all subjects of the semester, as laid down by university. Students, falling short of 75% of attendance shall not be allowed for the End examinations. Absence from class must be justified with the concerned Head of the Department. Absence for more than three days for reasons of health requires a medical certificate. If a student claims a serious medical condition, they are eligible for 10% of their attendance as well as a condonation.
  • Participation in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities inside or outside the campus is not counted as absence from class. Attendance will be counted only when a copy of the participation certificate or a note from the concerned teacher is produced immediately before the Head of the Department.
  • A certificate of appreciation will be awarded to those students who secure 100% overall attendance in a semester / Year course.
  • It is necessary for UG students to score a minimum of 40% to pass in any theory and minimum 50% to pass in practical subject in the semester examination. Similarly, the PG students require to score minimum 50% marks to pass in both theory and practical subjects in the semester examination.
  • Two internal examinations are conducted for B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA and marks of the average of two are considered for internal assessment. Absence in one such tests, even with medical certificate, cannot entitle a student to double marks in the one test answered by them.
  • A fine will be imposed if anybody behaves contrary to the above rules and the amount so collected will be utilized for the student welfare activities.
  • Any suggestions or grievances of the students can be brought to the notice of the authorities through suggestions boxes, kept in the departments.
