About Dr. B.G. Obula Reddy
Dr. B.G. Obula Reddy is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator with over 23 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and industry. Currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) at Brilliant Institute of Engineering and Technology (BRIL), Hyderabad, he brings exceptional expertise in Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and emerging technologies.
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH), an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTUH, an M.C.A from Osmania University, and a B.Sc in Computer Science from Osmania University. His doctoral research focused on advanced algorithms and security protocols in distributed computing environments.
Dr. Obula Reddy has made significant contributions to the field with 11 publications in SCI and SCOPUS indexed journals, demonstrating his commitment to advancing knowledge in computer science. He has also been granted 2 Indian patents, showcasing his innovation in technology development. His research interests span Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET), and Internet of Things (IoT).
His research work has been recognized at national and international conferences, and he has contributed to projects related to security frameworks for cloud environments, AI-driven threat detection systems, and IoT security protocols. He has actively collaborated with industry and academic institutions to promote research and innovation.
Dr. Obula Reddy is committed to fostering a research-driven academic environment and has mentored numerous students for research publications, projects, and higher studies. He has organized and participated in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, webinars, and technical seminars on emerging technologies, cyber security best practices, and industry trends.
As an administrator, he has played a pivotal role in implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE), NBA accreditation processes, curriculum development aligned with NEP 2020, and strengthening industry-academia partnerships. He is dedicated to preparing students for leadership roles in the technology industry through quality education, hands-on training, and ethical values.
