PEO's and PSO's
M.Tech – Transportation Engineering
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) describe the expected accomplishments of graduates a few years after completing the program. The PEOs of the Civil Engineering program are:
Graduates will demonstrate strong technical competence in civil engineering fundamentals, enabling them to plan, design, construct, and maintain infrastructure systems including buildings, roads, bridges, and water supply networks.
Graduates will apply analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering challenges in structural design, geotechnical investigations, and environmental management using modern tools and methodologies.
Graduates will exhibit professional ethics, effective communication, and teamwork skills required to succeed in construction industry, government services, research, and entrepreneurial environments.
Graduates will engage in lifelong learning and adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape of civil engineering through continuous professional development, advanced studies, and professional certifications.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
The Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) describe what students are expected to know and be able to do upon graduation, specific to the Civil Engineering program:
Apply knowledge of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, fluid mechanics, and construction technology to design and develop safe, durable, and cost-effective civil infrastructure systems for societal needs.
Utilize modern engineering tools including STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ETABS, GIS, and BIM software to analyze, design, and manage civil engineering projects with precision and efficiency.
Demonstrate the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, contribute to research and innovation in sustainable construction and infrastructure, and apply civil engineering solutions to environmental and societal challenges with professional responsibility.
