Facilities for Differently-Abled
Barrier-Free, Inclusive & Accessible Campus
Facilities for Differently-Abled Students
Brilliant Institute of Engineering and Technology (BRIL), established in 2008, is a NAAC ‘A’ Accredited and UGC Autonomous Engineering College committed to inclusive and accessible education.
At BRIL, accessibility is an integral part of campus planning and infrastructure development. With EAMCET Counselling Code BRIL, the institution ensures a barrier-free environment that empowers differently-abled students to participate confidently in academic and campus life. Every essential facility is designed to promote safety, dignity, and independence.
To support students with mobility challenges, battery-operated buggies are available for on-campus transportation. These assisted vehicles enable convenient travel between academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, administrative offices, and other important facilities, ensuring uninterrupted access to education.
All academic blocks, hostels, and administrative buildings are equipped with well-designed ramps. These ramps facilitate smooth wheelchair access and eliminate physical barriers, allowing students to move independently and comfortably across the campus.
The campus features interconnected pathways designed with sturdy railings for additional safety and support. These pathways ensure secure and guided navigation between all major facilities, enhancing accessibility for students with physical challenges.
Clear and strategically positioned sign boards are installed across the campus to assist students in locating classrooms, laboratories, lifts, washrooms, and administrative offices. This structured signage system promotes independent movement and easy navigation.
Special tactile paving is provided along primary walkways to assist visually-impaired students. These textured paths serve as directional guides, enabling safe and confident navigation throughout the campus environment.
Wheelchairs are made available at key locations within the campus, including administrative offices and major academic blocks. This ensures immediate assistance and uninterrupted mobility support whenever required.
Every multi-storeyed building is equipped with spacious and accessible lifts designed to accommodate wheelchair users and ensure safe vertical movement. The lift systems are maintained to provide reliability and ease of access for all students.
Dedicated washrooms are designed with support rails, adequate turning space, and user-friendly fixtures to ensure comfort, safety, and privacy. These facilities reflect the institute’s commitment to inclusive campus infrastructure.
The institute provides assistive digital solutions, including braille-enabled systems and academic support software, to enhance learning accessibility. These technological resources empower students with special needs to actively participate in academic and research activities.
