Guidelines that ensure discipline, academic excellence, and a safe campus environment for all students.
1. Student Conduct
The institution aims to cultivate scholarly thinking, professional ethics, and responsible citizenship among students. Every student is expected to uphold the highest standards of discipline, respect, and academic commitment throughout their course of study.
Students must conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the dignity of the institution and the values of higher education. Any act that disrupts academic harmony or damages the reputation of the institution may invite disciplinary action in accordance with institutional policies.
2. General Rules and Regulations
- Students admitted to the institution are deemed to have agreed to comply with all academic and disciplinary regulations of the college.
- Every student must submit an undertaking confirming that they will not participate in ragging or any form of indiscipline.
- Students must wear their college identity card while on campus and present it whenever requested by authorities.
- Punctuality is mandatory. Students arriving late after the class has commenced may not be permitted to attend the session.
- Students are expected to remain in their classrooms during scheduled academic sessions unless permitted by the concerned faculty member.
- Loitering in corridors, canteen areas, or other parts of the campus during class hours is not permitted.
- Students should maintain discipline and respectful behavior in classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and all campus facilities.
- The use of offensive language, harassment, or any behavior that disrespects fellow students is strictly prohibited.
- Students should behave courteously towards faculty members, staff, visitors, and fellow students at all times.
- The conduct of students outside the campus should also reflect the dignity and reputation of the institution.
3. Campus Discipline
- Students must maintain cleanliness and protect campus infrastructure.
- Damaging or defacing institutional property will result in strict disciplinary action.
- Smoking, possession, or consumption of alcohol or prohibited substances within the campus is strictly forbidden.
- Entry into the campus under the influence of intoxicating substances is not allowed.
- Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and punishable under Government regulations.
- Students are not permitted to bring unauthorized visitors into the campus.
4. Attendance Regulations
Students must maintain a minimum attendance requirement as prescribed by the university regulations.
- A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory in each subject to appear for semester examinations.
- Students who fail to meet the required attendance percentage may not be permitted to take the end examinations.
- Absence due to illness or valid reasons must be reported to the Head of the Department with appropriate documentation.
- Extended medical leave must be supported by a valid medical certificate.
- Participation in approved academic, co-curricular, or institutional activities will be considered for attendance when appropriate proof is submitted.
5. Academic Evaluation
- Internal assessments and semester examinations will be conducted as per university regulations.
- Two internal assessments are conducted during each semester for evaluation purposes.
- The average marks obtained in the internal tests are considered for internal assessment.
- Absence in an internal test does not entitle a student to additional marks in other tests.
- Students must maintain academic honesty during all examinations and evaluations.
6. Passing Requirements
- Undergraduate students must obtain the minimum pass percentage prescribed by the university in both theory and practical examinations.
- Postgraduate students must secure the required minimum marks in both theory and practical subjects to pass the semester.
- Students achieving 100% attendance in a semester may be recognized with a certificate of appreciation.
7. Disciplinary Action
Students who violate institutional regulations may be subject to disciplinary measures depending on the severity of the violation. Such actions may include warnings, fines, suspension, or other appropriate measures as determined by the college disciplinary committee.
Any fines collected for disciplinary violations may be utilized for student welfare initiatives and campus development activities.
8. Student Suggestions and Grievances
Students are encouraged to share their suggestions and concerns with the institution through the established grievance redressal mechanism. Suggestion boxes and departmental channels are available to ensure that student feedback reaches the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution.
The institution remains committed to maintaining transparency and providing a supportive environment where student concerns are addressed effectively.
