With the rapid development of Science & Technology, the Research & Development (R&D) Cell at Brilliant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Abdullapurmet, R.R Dist was established in February, 2018. The Cell is managed by a Chief Coordinator, Research Associate, and other office staff.
The Department of Humanities and Sciences actively participates in the R&D Cell's activities, focusing on applied mathematics, nanomaterials, green chemistry, and English language research. The department encourages faculty to undertake funded research projects and interdisciplinary research in collaboration with engineering departments.

Objectives of R & D Cell
- To develop research skills among faculty in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English.
- To promote research in applied mathematics, nanomaterials, and green chemistry.
- To create interdisciplinary research culture bridging sciences and engineering.
- To work closely with engineering departments to provide mathematical and scientific solutions.
- To have periodical interactive sessions with researchers and academicians from reputed institutions.
- To enhance communication skills development through language research and pedagogy.
- To serve government organizations by taking up sponsored projects in science and technology.
- To conduct research on environmental chemistry, sustainable materials, and computational mathematics.
Functions of R & D Cell
- To ensure smooth functioning and effective management of R&D activities in the H&S department.
- To provide a central coordination point for R&D activities among faculty members.
- To identify potential projects and funding sources from DST, SERB, and UGC.
- To establish collaboration with universities, research centers, and industries.
- To liaise with CSIR, DRDO, and academic institutions for collaborative research projects.
- Implementation, follow-up, monitoring and evaluation of ongoing research projects.
- To assist in matters related to collaborative research with other agencies.
