With the rapid development of Science & Technology, the Research & Development (R&D) Cell at Brilliant Institute of Engineering & Technology, Abdullapurmet, R.R Dist was established in February, 2018. The Cell is managed by a Chief Coordinator, Research Associate, and other office staff.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering actively participates in the R&D Cell's activities, focusing on power systems, renewable energy, smart grid technologies, and industrial automation. The department encourages faculty and students to undertake funded research projects and industry-sponsored consultancy work.

Objectives of R & D Cell
- To develop research skills among faculty and students in electrical and electronics engineering.
- To promote research in power systems, renewable energy, and smart grid technologies.
- To create zeal among students towards innovation in electrical engineering applications.
- To work closely with power utilities and industrial needs resulting in improved products and systems.
- To have periodical interactive sessions with power sector entrepreneurs and industrialists.
- To enhance skill development training in PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation.
- To serve government organizations by taking up sponsored projects in energy and power.
- To conduct research on energy efficiency, conservation, and sustainable power solutions.
Functions of R & D Cell
- To ensure smooth functioning and effective management of R&D activities in the EEE department.
- To provide a central coordination point for R&D activities among faculty and research students.
- To identify potential projects and funding sources from DST, AICTE, and industry bodies.
- To establish collaboration with power utilities, research centers, and industries.
- To liaise with TSGENCO, TSSPDCL, and private sector for consultancy-based R&D projects.
- Implementation, follow-up, monitoring and evaluation of ongoing research projects.
- To assist in matters related to collaborative research with other agencies.
