Humanities & Sciences
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) describe the expected accomplishments of graduates a few years after completing the program. The PEOs of the Humanities and Sciences department are:
Graduates will demonstrate a strong foundation in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English, enabling them to apply scientific principles and quantitative reasoning to solve complex engineering problems.
Graduates will apply analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and scientific methodology to address interdisciplinary challenges in engineering and technology.
Graduates will exhibit effective communication skills in English, professional ethics, and the ability to work in diverse teams, contributing to engineering projects and societal development.
Graduates will engage in lifelong learning, adapt to evolving scientific and technological landscapes, and contribute to research and innovation through continuous academic and professional development.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
The Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) describe what students are expected to know and be able to do upon graduation, specific to the Humanities and Sciences program:
Apply knowledge of engineering mathematics, physics, and chemistry to model, analyze, and solve quantitative problems encountered in various engineering disciplines, demonstrating proficiency in mathematical tools and scientific reasoning.
Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills in English, including technical report writing, presentations, and professional correspondence, enabling successful participation in academic and industrial environments.
Integrate scientific knowledge with engineering applications, contribute to interdisciplinary research, and apply principles of environmental science and sustainability to engineering solutions with social and ethical responsibility.
